What is a VAC ban?
Valve Corporation developed their VAC Ban anti-cheat system as part of their Steam digital game distribution platform, to prevent third party software that facilitates cheating from being installed onto online “VAC protected” servers and playable on official VAC-secured servers for particular games (for instance Counter Strike: Global Offensive). Unfortunately, this process requires subjective information and evidence and reversed VAC bans for cheating in CSGO servers are very challenging to overcome.
VAC bans only affect your ability to play CSGO; other games tied to your Steam account won’t be affected.
